The Hedgehog House is one of many beautiful and unique products, available at Hidden Corners!

We are really excited about the hedgehog house and its concept which allows you to plant real turf/moss/succulents on its roof ( please note the turf is to be planted by yourself, the picture in images is an example of what we have done) If you add some leaves to your interior to encourage the bugs & hedgehogs & this will help keep them warm. Don't forget, please do not feed your hedgehogs milk but instead leave water & dog biscuits (broken up into little pieces)!

The roof of this sculpture lifts off to expose the detail that has been carried on inside for your little spiky friends to move in. The hedgehog house is supplied with 2 stepping stone paths to be placed where you desire either using them to lead your hedgehogs to the door or to link up your fairy village by collecting the other amazing products in this range.

Hand crafted in Devon, UK, using a specially formulated, reconstituted stone, to enhance the strength which makes our products frost resistant and durable all year round. This creation is finished using an olive-green stain, which certainly lifts all the finer details that have been made by the designers at DSL, bringing this hedgehog abode to life.

Here are a few pointers which will help you provide the perfect hedgehog home for your spiky visitors;

• We advise that you position the house in an area of your garden which is sheltered from wind (avoid positioning with the entrance of the house facing in a north or north easterly direction to avoid the cold winter winds) and ensure that it is not in direct sunlight
• Add leaves, moss and hay to encourage hedgehogs to move in and nest.
• To avoid water getting into the nest we advise that the house is positioned at a slight tilt with door facing down so that the roof can provide optimum shelter from the rain.
• If you are already aware of a nesting hedgehog in your garden it might be an idea to position the house close to the current nest to tempt them to set up home.
• It may take time for a hedgehog to take up residence in your hidden corner, you could provide a source of food to tempt them in. (Please ensure that you look up the correct dietary requirements for a hedgehog before you do this.)
